Why are Perodua prices in Sabah higher than in Peninsular Malaysia?

Perodua prices in Sabah are higher for every Axia and Myvi variant compared below. Perodua’s official website has a separate region option for East Malaysia, so compare Sabah prices with Sabah prices, not with Peninsular adverts.

Be careful with advertised prices
Many adverts and videos show Peninsular prices. If you buy and register the car in Sabah, ask for a written Sabah quotation including insurance, and check which rebates apply in Sabah.
